A time of change
In June 2017, the Indiana University Board of Trustees and the Purdue University Board of Trustees approved agreements to realign the Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne campus. This realignment creates two separate universities: Indiana University Fort Wayne and Purdue University Fort Wayne. Both universities will be located on the current Fort Wayne campus and will share building space. The agreements allow for a one-year transition period, with the realignment taking effect on July 1, 2018.
Indiana University Fort Wayne will manage the health science programs on the Fort Wayne campus, including admission to those programs. Purdue will oversee all other programs on campus, as well as providing administrative services and general education classes to IU Fort Wayne students.
