Dental Education Programs

The IU School of Dentistry offers three dental education programs in Fort Wayne: Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene and Dental Laboratory Technology.

Founded in Indianapolis in 1879, the School of Dentistry offers an extraordinary learning environment where teaching, research and community service combine to transform students into the next generation of exceptional dental professionals and advance oral health care for all Hoosiers. As a hybrid educational and health care facility, our students participate in more than 30,000 patient appointments each year in our campus clinics and outreach clinics in local communities. The School of Dentistry offers undergraduate degrees in Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene, as well as graduate degrees in all dental specializations. The school also offers the only Doctor of Dental Surgery program in the state, and has trained more than 80 percent of all dentists serving across Indiana.
