Indiana University Fort Wayne and Children’s Health Collaborative (CHC) ― an initiative of the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne —announce a free Community Health & Resource Fair. This event will take place from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 at Fort Wayne’s Central Branch YMCA (1020 Barr St.). Area residents are encouraged to register for this event, which will highlight more than 25 participating organizations and the 7 IUFW schools. The event will offer health and wellness information, healthy food samples, fitness sessions and health screenings for kids and adults.
The free Community Health & Resource Fair will host many local organizations including Super Shot and the YMCA. CHC is collaborating with community partners to create a system of care where all kids in Allen County are physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy, and educated to their highest potential. Super Shot will offer flu immunizations for attendees six months and older, as well as the Pfizer COVID-19 Bivalent booster to patients five years and older. As the location host, the YMCA will provide information on its free 7th-grade membership and the benefits of becoming a member, as well as the many programs offered for all residents of all ages.
