Biographical Statement
Professor Lash joined the IUSONFW faculty in 2020. She completed an entry-level MSN degree at the University of Virginia in 2008 and began her clinical career at the Santa Monica-UCLA Hospital Emergency Department. With a passion for health policy, research, and emergency nursing, she completed her Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis in 2015. Dr. Lash has worked in nursing professional development, education, and research promoting clinical inquiry and clinical excellence among nurses in both community hospital and academic medical center settings. Her research is focused on health services research and particularly ED utilization among oncology patients. She remains an active member of the Emergency Nurses Association and currently serves on several national workgroups within the organization.
